Why it matters

When someone dies, families search on their phone, often late at night.

  1. 01

    Your number

One tap from any page, day or night. Not buried in a footer or an image.

  2. 02

    Your prices

Clear and easy to find, with your Standardised Price List no more than one click from your home page.

  3. 03

    What to do next

Plain, gentle guidance, written for someone who has never had to do this before.

Why a funeral director built this

Why a funeral director built this

You won't need to explain the trade to us. We'll talk to you as one funeral director to another.

Cortege Digital is run by Andrew Crymble, a third-generation funeral director.

He knows what families ask on the phone, what they look for on a website, and what the rules expect. The CMA’s Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021 requires funeral directors to show their Standardised Price List on their website, no more than one click from the home page.

  • We know the questions families ask
  • We know the CMA price display rules
  • We write in a calm, respectful tone
  • We understand out-of-hours calls

Questions

Good to know.

Is the website score really free?

Yes. You get a written score and the main fixes. You don't have to buy anything.

Will I own my website?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the site is yours. If you leave, we hand everything over.

How long does a rebuild take?

Usually a few weeks, depending on how quickly we get your photos and content. You approve the site before it goes live.

Can I still update funeral notices myself?

Yes, or send them to us and we'll put them up, usually the same working day.

Do you run the AI for us?

No. We design an AI setup template tailored to your firm and give you clear, step-by-step instructions. With the done-for-you option, we also connect it to your email, enquiries and diary. Either way, you stay in control of it, and we don’t run or operate it day to day.

Do you help with the CMA price display rules?

Yes. The CMA’s Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021 applies across the UK. It requires funeral directors to display price information clearly and prominently on their website, with the Standardised Price List as a PDF on a page no more than one click from the home page, reached by a prominently labelled link. We build your site so that is easy to do. The prices and content stay your responsibility, and this is not legal advice.
